With many australians working from home, its important to have your home work space as a nice place to work from and a place that you can feel productive.

Lead interior designer Janelle Miles from Porter Davises shares her top tips for working from home.

1. Your elements must include productive areas which are creative and promotoe claim.

Make sure your place has lots of greenery. Get all the garden plants and place them in your home office

Use light to separate your home office space from the other spaces you have in the house

Its important to have a light comfortable feeling

2. Be orginized, its the key to productivity

Keep your work place clutter free, you can not have enough storage spaces

Additional storage space in the form of drawers, filing cabinets, boxes and shelving will help keep everything in order and keep your workspace clutter-free.

3. Make it impressionable, with personal photographs, inspirational quotes framed on the walls or placed on your work desk. This must be a positive space to mitigate stress and spark creativity. Make sure you print out some good quotes and stick them in places which you can easily see them.

4. Colour your mood.

To create calm space in your home office, cool blues and natural green hues are good colours to use.

Intergrate good colurs with prints in cusions . lamps and frames.

5. No home office?

If you have no home office create the space, if you have a bench and a good size and height for a chair then you are on your way.

Make sure your chosen space is close to a power source, and your desk has storage space for papers and stationary.

Its good to allocate desk time at a good lit corner of the kitchen or dining room
